A Greek Goddess and a Scary Pirate!

It was Greek Day at Katie’s school today, and Pirate Party day at Molly’s, so it was fancy dress costumes all round.

Last year, Molly went to a Pirate Party and I made her a great Pirateskirt, but could I find it this year….. Umm – no….

So, we created a little something this morning, a pair of old trousers, one of Katie’s t-shirts (which conveniently had a skull and cross bones on it) and a fab hat! She even has a pirate ribbon in her hair, although you can’t see that in the photo.

Katie’s was trickier, She had to wear a toga, but we had specific toga creating instructions which she’d lost, so we had to try and remember what they said. She looked pretty good before we left thehouse, but as she ran into school I noticed you could see more PE kit than toga, so I don’t know how well the toga will last.

But the most important thing was I got some good photos!

Love that last pic of Molly, she makes a great pirate! And good job on the emergency Toga! :oD

  2. It always amazes me how you manage to magic these outfits out of nothing in the blink of an eye – you’ve got talent Bev!
And the kids look good too!!!!

  4. Hi Bev,

Thank you for your considerate comment on my blog about needing to be cautious using the flask. It would be great if my daughter took bottles at room temperature but babies adopted from China are used to their bottles at a very warm, almost hot temperature. In order to ease her transition I will try to mimic what she’s used to as much as possible. I will be very cautious though and appreciate your words of caution.
